Large amount of them were discovered from the excavations of Late Neolithic-Chalcolithic and Bronze Age settlements of Armenia, which belong to the time range between the VI-III Millennium BC. Meanwhile such kind of artifacts in Armenia are recorded from the Upper Paleolithic. The current report aims to present bone awls discovered during the excavations of several Late Chalcolithic – Early Bonze Age sites of Armenia such as Areni-1 cave, Gnishikadzor archaeological complex, settlements of Teghut and Shengavit, Kakavaberd archaeological cmplex etc. Following aspects are going to be discussed: the origins of bone raw material used for their preparation and their anatomical distribution, technical aspects of their construction and shaping, typology and function. In addition, their parallels from earlier and synchronous sites will be included.
